Volunteer Programs
FCRG volunteers are the backbone of our field operations. Whether you have a background in science or just a passion for the outdoors, there is a role for you. All volunteers receive free training and equipment.
Citizen Science Surveys
Help collect fish population data at streams, lakes, and coastlines near you. After a one-day training session, volunteers conduct standardized surveys that feed directly into our national database.
Habitat Restoration Days
Get your hands dirty planting native vegetation, removing invasive species, and cleaning up waterways. Events are held monthly in every region and are open to all ages and abilities.
Event Support
Help staff fishing clinics, education workshops, community forums, and fundraising events. Great for those who enjoy working with people and building community connections.
Youth Conservation Corps
Teens aged 14–18 can join our summer program combining outdoor work experience with conservation education. Participants earn community service hours while restoring local habitats.
